Method
Each input is split at line breaks. Lines with the same row number are compared as exact strings, including case, spaces and punctuation; changed rows are highlighted.
Worked example
If line 2 is “Ship Monday” on the left and “Ship Tuesday” on the right, row 2 is marked changed while identical rows remain neutral.
Limits to know
This is a positional line comparison. Inserting one line shifts every later row, and the tool does not detect moved text, word-level edits or semantic similarity.

Is the comparison case-sensitive?
Yes. Uppercase, lowercase, spaces and punctuation must match for a line to be marked identical.
Does it detect moved or rewritten paragraphs?
No. This version compares rows in the same position; it is not a semantic or word-level diff.
